There are three very different spots where fans of cartwheels, loops, R&L splitwheels, flatspins and blunts can meet up during the day and in the evening.

Rabioux wave
This is a genuine breaking wave with a lot of character. Thanks to spotlights, the local river guides meet up here in the evening to unwind.
Best time: April to August/September
Access: Châteauroux les Alpes, banks of the Durance
St Clément sur Durance
Easy wave located upstream of bridge, good for beginners wanting to progress.
Best time: April to June
Access: St Clément sur Durance white-water centre
L’Argentière la Bessée
When the Durance is high there are two waves at the start of the basin. Although they lie side by side, they are actually very different from each other. The first one is a small bar, which is great for spins and carving, while the second is a hole where you can do cartwheels, loops and other vertical tricks.
Best time: April to June
Access: L’Argentière la Bessée slalom course
